Volunteers Needed for Memorial Health Championship

Volunteer registration is now open for the Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS, a PGA TOUR-sanctioned golf tournament at Panther Creek Country Club. Tournament officials announced that Country Financial® will continue to serve as the Official Sponsor of the volunteer program.

The tournament is looking to recruit more than 500 volunteers to fill over 15 different committees at this year’s event scheduled for June 23 - 29. As the sponsor of the volunteer program, Country will support this dedicated team of people who perform a variety of critical needs throughout the week.

Whether one is a golf novice, an avid fan, volunteered in the past, or a new volunteer, there is something for everyone. In addition to their sponsorship, CountryFinancial is introducing three new incentives, register by March 1 to be entered to win a $100 Scheels gift card, April 15 to be entered to win $250 VISA gift card and on May 30 to be entered to win a $350 VISA gift card.

"At Country Financial, supporting our communities is just one way we help people experience more.We are proud to once again support the volunteers that play such a pivotal role in the success of this tournament,” says JR Earley, Agency Manager of Country Financial. "Supporting events like the Memorial Health Championship are at the core of what we stand for, so we are excited to continue our support of professional golf in Central Illinois.”

The Charity Chip-In program will return for the 2025 event and provide not-for-profit organizations with a unique opportunity to raise funds by volunteering at the tournament. To participate, organizations must complete an application with supporting documentation and supply volunteers for specific duties during tournament week. Participating organizations received a total of $36,000 for their efforts in 2024. Space is limited; interested organizations should contact Emily Canham to request an application at (217) 670 – 2910 or emily@eventivesports.com

"Volunteers are vital to the success of the tournament, and we are thrilled to continue our partnership with Country and their support of program,” said Tournament Director, Kate Peters. "Equally exciting is the ability to expand our charitable reach and grow participants in the Country Financial volunteer program with the continuation of our Charity Chip In program. We encourage not for profit organizations to submit their application soon to ensure space is available.”
