Symphony Orchestra Presents Magical Music of Harry Potter

The Illinois Symphony Orchestra (ISO) will bring the magic of the Harry Potter series to life with a special concert, Magical Music of Harry Potter, on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. at the UIS Performing Arts Center in Springfield. The event will feature some of the most iconic musical pieces from the beloved films, led by ISO Music Director Taichi Fukumura.

Attendees are encouraged to dress as their favorite characters from the Wizarding World for an immersive experience suitable for all ages. The concert will also be performed on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at the ISU Center for the Performing Arts in Normal, Illinois.

Tickets for the Springfield performance can be purchased through the UIS Ticket Office at (217) 206-6160, while Bloomington-Normal tickets are available at the ISU Center for the Performing Arts at (309) 438-2535. Online purchases can be made at ilsymphony.org/harrypotter, with ticket prices ranging from $10 for students (24 & under) to $70 for premium seating.

The event is sponsored by The Landmark Automotive Group, Debra & Daniel Brownstone, M.D., CEFCU, Isringhausen, and Richard & Phyllis Cheaney.

Fukumura, a Japanese-American conductor, was recently appointed as the ISO’s music director after an international search. He has earned recognition for his work with major orchestras, including the Bamberg Symphony and Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra.

The Illinois Symphony Orchestra is the largest professional orchestra in central Illinois, serving over 35,000 patrons across Springfield, Bloomington-Normal, and the surrounding communities. In addition to its performances, the ISO supports music education and outreach programs for students and community organizations.
