On January 5, 2024, the Springfield Police Department Street Crimes Unit, along with the Pro-Active Crime Unit, served a search warrant in the 3000 block of Lakeshire Drive.
Prior to the warrant being served, the officers conducted a traffic stop on the suspect, who had been identified as Dalton E. Ridgeway-Williams, 25, of Springfield. The traffic stop yielded a large amount of currency being recovered. Ridgeway-Williams was detained while a warrant was served at the residence, without incident. This investigation resulted in the recovery of 3 firearms, 23.46 pounds of cannabis, 3 pounds of THC wax, and $44,477.

Ridgeway-Williams was arrested for armed habitual criminal, unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon, delivery of cannabis over 5000 grams, and armed violence.
