Crime Stoppers: Crime of the Week

Crime Stoppers is seeking assistance from the public to help the Springfield Police Department identify a suspect involved in two incidents of burglary, theft, and criminal damage at E.L. Pruitt, located at 3050 Reilly Drive. The incidents occurred on December 24 and December 25, 2024.

In both instances, officers responded to reports of a burglary in progress. Upon arrival, the suspect had already fled the scene. The stolen items include over $4,000 worth of tools and copper piping, and the property sustained several thousand dollars in damages. Surveillance footage shows the suspect leaving the scene on a bicycle with an attached trailer.

Images of the suspect are available on the Crime Stoppers website, cashfortips.us. Anyone with information regarding the incidents or who can identify the individual is urged to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously by calling 217-788-8427, submitting a tip on cashfortips.us, or using the P3 app.

Tips that lead to an arrest could result in a cash reward of up to $2,500. Remember, Crime Stoppers only wants your information, not your name.
