Crime Stoppers is requesting the public's assistance in solving a robbery that occurred at a Springfield Burger King earlier this week.
The incident took place around 11:00 p.m. on November 7 at the Burger King located at 3200 Northfield Drive. According to the Springfield Police Department, a male and female suspect entered the restaurant after it had closed while employees were finishing their shifts.
The suspects demanded money from the employees before fleeing the scene on foot. Both suspects concealed their faces during the robbery, but the female suspect was noted to be wearing a distinctive sweatshirt.
Photos of the suspects have been made available on the Crime Stoppers website, cashfortips.us.
Anyone with information that could assist in identifying the suspects is urged to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously by calling 217-788-8427, submitting a tip through the Crime Stoppers website, or using the P3 app. Tips that lead to an arrest could result in a cash reward of up to $2,500.
