Bistro Verde Reopens January 28 at LLCC

Bistro Verde, the student-led café at Lincoln Land Community College (LLCC), will reopen on January 28, serving customers Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The café, located inside the Workforce Careers Center on the LLCC campus at 5250 Shepherd Road, offers a unique opportunity for students in the Hospitality and Culinary Arts program to gain hands-on experience in a real-world setting.

Initially, from January 28 through February 27, the café will operate as Bistro To Go, a counter service concept providing a variety of soups, salads, sandwiches, baked goods, coffees, and drinks. This format allows for quick service while showcasing the culinary skills of LLCC students.

From March 26 to April 24, Bistro Verde will transition into a casual dine-in restaurant experience. The full-service lunch will feature a menu of appetizers, soups, salads, sandwiches, desserts, coffees, drinks, and chef-inspired dishes, all prepared from scratch with high-quality ingredients. Reservations are recommended for this dining experience.

Menus, ordering details, and reservation information can be found on the Bistro Verde website at www.llcc.edu/bistro-verde.

As part of the LLCC Hospitality and Culinary Arts program, students manage the café as part of their curriculum, which includes both practical and academic learning. The program offers associate degrees in culinary arts and hospitality management and services, along with professional certificates in areas such as first cook, culinary manager, baking and pastry, hospitality professional, and hospitality supervisor. LLCC also provides non-credit cooking and baking classes, along with special dinner events at Bistro Verde.
